As a fly on the wall I was always trying to capture the creativity and skill of all the people behind the scenes at RL. This was one of my favorite things to do, after completing my duties of illustrating and designing! …a one of a kind piece of fashion history...

Captured here: Ralph Lauren overseeing the fit of his jacket of navy velvet suit on model Michelle. Mario his patternmaker and head of the fit dept worked alongside RL making sure RL was satisfied with his vision of how the clothing was worn. Ralph was a hands-on artist who made sure it had the exact fit that his eye demanded. It was a great experience to capture these moments for those who would like to own a piece of fashion history.
